Stratosphere Zoa — 1 Polyp Frag

Stratosphere is a collector zoanthid with a dark burgundy-to-black oral disc, fluorescent-yellow concentric rings and a contrasting violet skirt. The Reef Culture Co. photograph is the best reference for how our lineage presents under blue reef lighting.

Lineage and story

Stratosphere has circulated as a named collector zoanthid for years. A 2020 CORAL Magazine feature described it as becoming difficult to find after multiple captive colonies melted, before a surviving aquacultured line was located with SBB Corals.

A reliable original wild-collection or first-release story has not been documented, so we will not add one.

What to expect

This listing is for one established Stratosphere polyp. The product photograph documents our Reef Culture Co. lineage and is not the exact future frag unless the listing is specifically marked WYSIWYG.

Frags are shipped only after they are attached, opening reliably and considered ready for transit. Polyp size, skirt extension and pattern placement will vary naturally.

• Stability: Avoid abrupt changes in lighting, salinity and nutrients

Wear gloves and eye protection when handling or fragging zoanthids. Never boil or scrub them with hot water because zoanthids may contain palytoxin.
