RCC Cookie Monster Acan – WYSIWYG

Dominant electric blue gives this aquacultured RCC acan its unmistakable look, broken up by fluorescent lime centers and streaks of coral, orange, pink, and violet. Every polyp carries a different variation of the pattern while that heavy blue base holds the colony together visually.

Cookie Monster is a Reef Culture Co. house name for this aquacultured collection piece. No connection to previously circulated corals carrying similar names is claimed. We’re conservatively identifying it as Micromussa sp.; species-level identification cannot be confirmed from a photograph alone. The familiar Acan Lord is currently classified as Micromussa lordhowensis by WoRMS.

Care

Begin in low-to-moderate light with gentle, indirect flow. Acclimate gradually, maintain stable reef chemistry, allow space from aggressive neighbors, and offer occasional appropriately sized meaty foods.
