Raising Reefs Blue Flame Acropora

Raising Reefs Blue Flame is a genuinely blue aquacultured Acropora—and one of those rare corals that is best appreciated when the heavy blue lighting is turned down.

Under balanced white or full-spectrum lighting, its saturated blue coloration and structure become much easier to appreciate. It does not need extreme actinic lighting or an orange filter to create its appeal. Use the Reef Culture Co. mother-colony photographs as the best reference for how this lineage presents in our system.

Lineage and story

Blue Flame originates from Raising Reefs, a coral aquaculture facility specializing in captive-grown coral. The lineage was documented in hobby collections by at least 2020. We will leave the exact species debate to people with microscopes and call it an Acropora.

What to expect

This is a cut-to-order mother-colony listing. Frags are approximately ¾ inch and healed for 2–3 weeks before shipping. The photographs show our mother colony, not the exact frag.
