BC Laser Melon Acropora

BC Laser Melon is a Battlecorals Acropora tenuis known for its contrasting blue-to-purple growth and red or pink coloration. Use the Reef Culture Co. mother-colony photographs as the best reference for its appearance in our system, since the intensity and balance of those colors will change with spectrum, nutrients and maturity.

Battlecorals was distributing early Laser Melon frags through its Battleboxes before the coral even had a finished website listing or mature colony photograph. Adam at Battlecorals later confirmed that the mystery was simply the coral getting into reef keepers’ tanks faster than he could add it to the store. See the Battlecorals lineage discussion.

Also, it is Laser Melon—not Laser Lemon. The coral has been confusing people since before it had a product page.

What to expect

This is a cut-to-order listing. The photographs show our Reef Culture Co. mother colony, not the exact frag you will receive.

Frags are cut at approximately ¾ inch and healed for 2–3 weeks before shipping. Branch shape and color balance will vary, and newly cut frags may need time under stable conditions to regain the contrast displayed by the mature colony.
